For years he was query editor of the Gospel Advocate, and also for some years
editor of the Annual Lesson Commentary on Bible School Lessons published by
the Gospel Advocate Company. As a writer, he was one of the outstanding men

in the church of Christ, and was appreciated as second to none in the church.

His information of the teaching of the Bible was such that he was entirely
familiar with any subject he was called on to discuss. He was accurate in statements,
and direct in the presentation of the teaching. To students he was one of the most
interesting speakers and teachers in the church; to the ones who were seeking
entertainment he did not appeal. He was obsessed with the conviction that it was
his business as a teacher to present the truth as found in the Bible. He was calm at
all times, firm in his convictions, and deliberate in his delivery. As a critic of false
doctrine, his statements were withering. He did not engage in as many public
debates as some men, but his work in this field was very successful in results,
and the cause grew in each place where he debated. His calm, clear presentation
of the truth found its way into the hearts of the hearers.

He was co-author in writing four volumes of "Sound Doctrine," a series of
books on Bible studies. This series of books has had, and continues to have, a
wide circulation. They deal with the fundamentals of the Bible. His last book, a
"Commentary on the Book of Romans," is outstanding and pronounced by many
the best commentary ever written on that book. It shows scholarship, close study.
One of the most delightful features of the book, in addition to teaching the truth, is
that it is couched in language that the ordinary reader grasps, and at the same time
appeals to the most profound scholars.

  the questions into your Word Processor. You won't be able to edit these as they are in
  a .JPG Format. You may "resize" them after you have pasted them into your Word
  Processor. When resizing them, you will probably need to re-adjust your Left Marrin in
  your Word Processor.
  
• Ver 1.4 - Includes the Extensive Collection of Bible Study Guides on the Book of
  Romans by R.C. Bell.They are be located in the Book Note(s) for this module. There
  are 52 Complete Lessons with Questions by R.C. Bell, including a Menu for simple
  navigation between Lessons.

• ​Ver 1.5 includes All Twenty-Six(26) Bible Study Lessons on Romans by Cecil B. Douthitt.
  These are located in the Verse Notes and can be accessed from the Book Notes, along with
  the Study Guides by R.C. Bell. Like the Study Guides, they have their own Navigation Menu
  for Quick and Easy Access to these lessons.

If you have the books by Bell and Douthitt, you can follow along with their books, since they
are the same text and questions as this module. I have both books in my Library, and they

have been a big help studying and teaching the book of Romans.

Ver 1.6 - Completed adding the full text of Moses E. Lard's Commentary on Romans.
It is located in the Verse Notes with the Book Notes featuring a Menu for Lard's, making it

easy to access the various sections of Lard's Commentary.

When you select a Hyperlink in the Menu for the Lard's Commentary on Romans you will
see something like this at the top of some comments:

Click on 'Moses Lard' to return to the Main Menu for Lard's Commentary

Ver. 1.7 - Greek Word Studies (via Chapter Notes). The Menu for these Greek Studies

is located at the top of the Book Notes. This work by Vincent is Complete.

Ver 1.8 - Expositor's Greek New Testament Commentary by Nicoll is now included too!

Future Versions: Not definite about this yet, since I have dozens of works on Romans and

really have to do some serious consideration on this. Which ones to include and not include
is a challenging task. They're all good, but I cannot include all of them. Some works that are
being considered are Commentaries on Romans by Moses Lard, David Lipscomb, McGarvey,
and/or H. Leo Boles. Since I already have Lard's work formatted in Word, will probably add
that one first, then who knows? Some type of Greek Word Studies is also possible too.
